Winery in Tuscany, Italy
This charming winery is tucked away in Grosseto, a town known as the heart of Tuscan Maremma in southern Tuscany, Italy. The Maremma is known as a historic site for some of the best wine estates – a reputation that rings true today with the continued legacy of fantastic wineries in the area like this one.
The winery was first established in 1997. As guests will understand upon visiting, the winery was named after the lush fertility of the local landscape and the mighty fortune of those who have cultivated the land over the centuries. The entire property stretches across 150 hectares (370.7 acres) of beautiful Tuscan countryside. One third of the property – 50 hectares (123.6 acres) – of the land is planted with established grape vines of some of the most famous and flavorful European grape varieties. In particular, the winery specializes in the Italian Sangiovese and Vermentino grapes and French Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The Sangiovese grapes are crafted into a true delicacy called Droppello, a delicious white wine. Within Italy’s wine classification system, wines from this vineyard have the designation Maremma Toscana DOC or Toscana IGT.
In addition to the winery’s complex and flavorful wines, the operation also produces olive oil from the property’s 10-hectare (24.7-acre) olive grove. The winery’s landscape is enhanced by a beautiful and well-maintained garden that can be enjoyed day or night. There is also a charming restaurant and a wine store already established on the property that are open to visitors. The winery also has spaces that can be rented for events as well as 6 guest suites that provide additional streams of revenue.
