Nizza Monferrato Winery
This winery is a prominent player in the natural wine sector, located in Nizza Monferrato, Italy, in the area of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
With a strong focus on sustainable viticulture and innovative winemaking practices, the company has established a significant presence in global markets.
The Province of Asti area was chosen within the Barbera vine territory, which has been cultivated for over 500 years in Piedmont. It encompasses the most significant territorial, cultural, and landscape elements of Barbera d’Asti production.
In the context of Nizza Monferrato, considered the capital of Barbera, Tenuta Foresto is included among the largest “crus” of this vine.
The company surface area is approximately 15 hectares of which 7.5 are under vineyards while the remaining woodland surrounds and protects the entire vineyard.
This ecosystem of woods, ponds, and vineyards, unfortunately increasingly rare, creates the ideal conditions to close the circle of our agriculture.
This balance has allowed us to support the formation of humus and microbiological fauna and more. Insects and animals also balance the seasons.
The soil is mainly characterized by strips of clayey marl and calcareous marl, typical of the Nizza Monferrato terroir.
The vineyards surround the cellar, creating a unique landscape and working scenario.
Varieties we work with: Barbera (Nizza DOCG), Cortese, Moscato, Grignolino, Dolcetto, Uvalino, Chardonnay.
Built in 2018, our cellar was crafted with a focus on practicality, tourist-friendly design, and natural thermal insulation, ensuring a welcoming and environmentally conscious space.
We researched and invested in cutting-edge winemaking technology that ensures to aim the best possible quality for our products and creates a seamless working process.
Presently, the cellar space, the vessel’s capacity, and the vineyard production can reach the output of over 50,000 bottles per year.
The winery has established customers in the leading Asian wine markets such as China, Japan, Korea, and Indonesia. Existing market extends to Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and many other EU territories.
Vineyard and Cellar Equipment included.
